Budget

How much does a pool cost in Switzerland in 2026?

That's the big question. No two pools are alike, but here are some honest benchmarks to help you gauge your budget by type of pool.

Giving a "one-size-fits-all" price for a pool would be dishonest: everything depends on the type, the dimensions, the ground and the equipment. What we can give, though, are indicative ranges to help you find your bearings. The amounts below are ballpark figures in Switzerland ; only a quote gives an accurate price.

The ranges by type of pool

We can distinguish two families: pools supplied as a kit (wooden, above-ground, spa), which you install yourself or with an installer, and all-inclusive pools (fibreglass, concrete, stainless steel) where we handle the project from A to Z.

Type of poolIndicative budget (CHF)
Technypool above-ground pool (kit)from ~2,000 to 15,000
Wooden pool (kit)from ~3,000 to 16,000
Massage spa or swim spa~12,000 to 45,000
Fibreglass pool (all-inclusive, installed)45,000 to 100,000
Bespoke concrete (all-inclusive)60,000 to 130,000
Stainless-steel poolfrom 80,000

Indicative ranges given as a benchmark. Kit pools are understood as supplied (excluding installation and landscaping); all-inclusive pools include the construction and the finishes up to the coping.

What makes the price vary

  • The dimensions and the depth of the pool.
  • The earthworks and access: a sloping or hard-to-reach site increases the cost.
  • The lining and finishes (liner, reinforced PVC, tiling, coping).
  • The equipment: slatted cover or enclosure, heat pump, salt treatment, counter-current swimming, lighting.
  • The outdoor landscaping: terrace, pool deck, landscaping, often a separate item.
Bespoke concrete pool with terrace
Shape, finishes and outdoor landscaping account for a large part of the price difference.

And the "running" cost?

On top of the construction budget comes the annual maintenance (products, electricity, start-up, winterising). Here again, smart equipment, a cover, salt electrolysis, efficient filtration, clearly reduces the bill. We cover it in detail in our maintenance budget guide.

How to get an accurate price?

The only way to get a real price is a quote based on your site and your wishes. It's free, with no obligation, and we reply within 72 working hours. You can even prepare your request with our quote assistant, which pins down your project in a few minutes.

Which pool is the cheapest?
The wooden kit pool and the above-ground pool are the most affordable, followed by fibreglass. Bespoke concrete is the most expensive because it is built entirely on site.
Why don't you display fixed prices?
Because no two pools are alike: dimensions, ground, finishes and equipment change everything. Giving a single price would be misleading. We prefer a precise and transparent quote.
Are the earthworks included in the price?
It depends on the project. The earthworks and access to the site strongly influence the budget ; they are detailed in the quote for full transparency.
Can the payment be spread out?
Depending on the project and services, instalment payment solutions are available (particularly on maintenance contracts). Let's talk about it during your quote.
