Why a sauna ?

2000 years of tradition, timeless well-being

Born in the Scandinavian countries more than two thousand years ago, the sauna raises the body's temperature in a dry heat. The result : relaxed muscles, a soothed mind, and that unique sense of well-being after every session. Set beside your pool, it extends the pleasure well beyond the summer.

  • Deep relaxation and muscle recovery
  • Short sessions of 10 to 15 minutes
  • Usable all year round, indoors as well as outdoors
  • The perfect pairing with a cool swim

Choosing well

Traditional or infrared ?

Two ways to enjoy the heat, above all a question of sensation.

Traditional sauna (steam)

A stove heats volcanic stones up to 70–100 °C. Pouring water over them releases a burst of steam (the "löyly") that intensifies the heat. The most authentic and most invigorating session.

Infrared sauna

Panels radiate a gentle heat (45–60 °C) that penetrates the body directly, without overheating the air. More accessible, energy-efficient and ideal for those who prefer a less intense heat.

Your questions

Everything about the sauna

What is the difference between a sauna and a hammam ?
The sauna gives off a dry heat (70–100 °C, low-humidity air), whereas the hammam offers a moist steam heat (around 45 °C, 100 % humidity). The sauna is more invigorating, the hammam more enveloping.
Traditional or infrared sauna, which to choose ?
The traditional one offers the authentic Nordic experience with its steam and strong heat. The infrared one offers a gentler heat (45–60 °C), warms up faster and consumes less : ideal for everyday use and those more sensitive to heat.
Can a sauna be installed outdoors ?
Yes. There are indoor cabins and outdoor sauna chalets designed to withstand the weather. Installation near the pool is ideal for enjoying the hot-cold alternation.
How long does a session last ?
A session usually lasts 10 to 15 minutes, possibly repeated after a cool-down break. The key is to listen to your body and stay well hydrated.
What maintenance does a sauna need ?
Maintenance is simple : ventilate after use, wipe down the benches and clean the wood with mild products. The stove's stones should be checked periodically.
Is the sauna a good complement to the pool ?
Absolutely. The contrast between the heat of the sauna and the coolness of the water stimulates circulation and provides an intense sense of well-being : it's the natural extension of a swimming area.
