When the ground doesn't allow digging, or you want a raised pool with character, we also build above-ground concrete pools, clad in natural-stone facing, with steps and a wooden terrace. A real masonry pool, without full excavation.

Everything you need to know about above-ground pools
Do I need a permit for an above-ground pool ?
The rules depend on the canton and the municipality, and are often more flexible than for an inground pool. Depending on the size and installation duration, a notification may be required : we guide you according to your situation.
What ground preparation is needed ?
A flat, stable and level surface (often a slab or a compacted bed) is enough. No major earthworks or heavy foundations : that's the whole point of the above-ground pool.
Can it be left outside in winter ?
Yes. The Technypools self-supporting structure is designed to stay in place all year round ; you simply need to winterise it correctly (water level, treatment, cover). We also offer maintenance and winterising contracts.
How long does it take to install ?
From a few hours to a few days depending on the model and the chosen finish. It's one of the fastest ways to enjoy a real pool.
Can it be heated ?
Yes, a heat pump is easily added to extend the swimming season, just like on an inground pool.
What's the difference with an inground pool ?
The above-ground pool avoids excavation, costs less and installs quickly, while still offering real swimming comfort. The inground pool remains more integrated and customisable. The Technypools above-ground pool, with its wooden edge, takes particular care over aesthetics.
